About Me

One of the greatest struggles of the healing process is to forgive both yourself and others and to stop expending valuable energy on past hurts” Caroline Myss

For the majority of my career, I worked as a fashion buyer for a large High street chain. I have always been the person to offer help and support to family, friends and colleagues and have a deep understanding of the many pressures and difficulties that life sometimes throws at us. I decided that there was more to life than just clothes and went in search of my own meaning and purpose. I underwent my own personal therapy and trained extensively, covering a range of theoretical models. I work as an intuitive counsellor and continue with my professional development.

I am a BACP accredited counsellor and psychotherapist. I hold a postgraduate diploma (PGDip) in Psychosynthesis Counselling from the Psychosynthesis and Education Trust, validated by the University of East London and accredited by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Some of the issues that I can help with, include:

  • Anxiety & Depression

  • Low self esteem & lack of confidence

  • Stress

  • Relationship problems

  • Domestic violence

  • Childhood trauma

  • Coping with change

  • Problems at work

  • Caring for others

  • Overcoming blocks to achieve full potential

  • General feeling of unhappiness or unease

  • Loss of hope

  • Feeling stuck and unable to move forward

  • Needing extra support

  • Loss of meaning and purpose

  • Exploring spirituality

I treat all clients with respect regardless of age, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation or disability.

I offer one-to-one counselling, either short-term to address specific issues, or medium- to long-term counselling, which is open ended, to work in more depth.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practise and Professional Conduct Procedure. I am fully insured and continue with ongoing personal and professional development.
